Ngati Kahungunu Kaumatua Elections 2005

On the 22nd April 2005 a meeting was held for all Kahungunu Kaumatua to discuss the process of the Kaumatua Election for two representatives on the Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated Board. The meeting was very successful and the following process was agreed upon. To read the minutes of the meeting click here

Elections for 2 Kaumatua positions on the Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated Board were held as follows:

• Nominations closed at 4pm, Tuesday 17th May 2005
• Candidates advertised in newspaper on the 21st & 28th May 2005
• Ballot papers posted to eligible members on the 1st June 2005
• Voting Closed at 4.00pm on Friday the 24th June 2005
• Results were advertised in newspaper on the 2-7 July 2005 
• Only registered Ngati Kahungunu Kaumatua were eligible to participate in the election.      

ELECTION OUTCOME

Congratulations to Haami Hilton and Noreen Taylor who will represent Kaumatua on the Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated Board for the term 2005 - 2008.

The Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated Board ratified the election process and outcome on . We thank all those who voted.
