do I register?
Fill
out an Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated "Application
for Registration" form.

I
think I'm already registered, do I need to fill out another registration
form?
NO,
but please confirm this with your Taiwhenua or Ngati Kahungunu Iwi
Incorporated.
However, you may fill out the new form, as this will then give us
the latest details about you and more information to help with fulfilling
many more of the purposes of registration.

YES.
We are asking for a lot of information. This is to enable us to
better develop strategies to meet all the purposes listed (on the

Who
should fill in an Application For Registration form?
- Only
those who are not registered with Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated
or a Taiwhenua, or
- Everyone
who believes they descend from Kahungunu, or
- Every
Maori, who does not descend from Kahungunu, but normally resides
within Kahungunu rohe.

Can
I register my child?
YES.
Provided that you are the caregiver of that child or children. If
the child is in joint custody, you may register the child if the
child spend most nights with you. We considera child to be under
the age of 18 years.

Can
I register someone else?
YES.
Provided that authorisation from that other person is obtained (unless
that person is a child). You must state this in the declaration
section of the form, giving your name and contact details.

Do
I need to complete all sections of the form?
NO.
Information asked for in the form is voluntary.
However, we would like you to complete the form to help us:-
- To
meet the purposes, as shown on the front page of the registration
form.
- To
be verified as eligible to participate and vote in Board Elections,
Sections 1,4,5,6 & 7 must be fully completed
- To
be verified as eligible to be registered as a member of Ngati
Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated, Sections 1,6 & 7 must be fully completed
