About the Taiwhenua:
Te Taiwhenua o Tamatea is a significant place in the cultural and historical heritage of Ngāti Kahungunu. Tamatea Taiwhenua is looking at holding major activities to promote and inspire marae/hapū participation and ongoing opportunities for whanaungatanga. The Taiwhenua works on community engagement, building whānau relationships and instilling pride.
