Mandate

Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated is the mandated organisation authorised to represent the people of Ngāti Kahungunu and serves as the governing body overseeing all areas of iwi development.

Governance Board

Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated is led by a governing board made up of elected representatives from the six regions within the Kahungunu rohe, two Taura Here representatives from the northern and southern districts, a kaumātua representative, and the chairperson. The board meets regularly to consider iwi priorities and guide the organisation’s direction. All governance processes are carried out in accordance with the organisation’s constitution.
