The Ngāti Kahungunu Education Strategy
Te Tōpuni Tauwhāinga
Whakamahi affirms the necessity of;
-
demonstrating how our educational institutions can implement teaching and
learning content into the curriculum;

demonstrating how our educational institutions can implement Ngāti Kahungunu
culturally responsive pedagogy into their practice;

ensuring our educational institutions are continually empowered and supported to
implement Ngāti Kahungunu culture, identity and language throughout the
curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices.
Educational institutions are trailing new strategies and initiatives based on Te Tōpuni Tauwhāinga to improve their own practice in order to improve Māori students’ outcomes and Māori educational success;
Educational institutions are proactively implementing new strategies and initiatives based on Te Tōpuni Tauwhāinga to improve their own practice in order to improve Māori students’ outcomes and Māori
educational success; and,
Educational institutions are integrating new strategies and initiatives based on Te Tōpuni Tauwhāinga across the curriculum in order to improve their own practice and to facilitate improved and positive outcomes for Māori students and Māori educational success.
