Te Tōpuni Tauwhāinga
Whakawhanaungatanga is about:
Our educational institutions establishing meaningful partnership relationships with iwi, hapū and whānau;
Whānau and our educational institutions sharing knowledge and experiences on how to establish, nurture and sustain meaningful partnership relationships that contribute to Māori educational achievement;
Caring about each other and asking if all of our whānau are engaged in the education and schooling of their children and if not, why? And,
Promoting healthy relationships between our educational institutions and their respective Māori [Ngāti Kahungunu] communities.
Educational institutions are starting to form sound partnership relationships with Māori parents, whānau,
marae, hapū, hapori and iwi.
Educational institutions are developing collaborative partnership relationships with Māori parents, whānau, marae, hapū, hapori and iwi based on improving Māori
children outcomes; and,
Educational institutions are engaged in strong productive partnerships with Māori parents, whānau, marae, hapū, hapori and iwi based on a clear and shared vision and expectations of the pathway forward for everyone.
